Al Rawsha Bakery
Rima and George in their bakery

Our story

Baked fresh
every morning

A Syrian bakery in Broadmeadows, because good fresh bread shouldn't be a luxury.

From Syria
to Broadmeadows

Rima and George came to Australia from Syria in 2017 with their two young children, and started again from zero.

George went to work in Al Rawsha's kitchen and became its chef and manager. In 2024 the two of them bought the bakery, and opened it as a family business on 1 June.

Every day the dough is rolled, filled and folded by hand, then baked and set out on the racks. All of it is halal.

Why Al Rawsha

Beirut

Al Rawsha is the Arabic name of the Raouché, the twin rocks off the coast of Beirut. You'll find them on our logo, on the wall inside and on the shopfront glass.

Broadmeadows

The food is Syrian, baked fresh in Broadmeadows every day: halal, and generous.
